This guide equips you for a smooth journey on the Berachain testnet. Here’s what you need to do:
Setting Up Your Wallet:
- Add Berachain Artio Network:
- Open your Metamask wallet.
- Navigate to “Settings” -> “Networks”.
- Click “Add Network” and enter the following details:
- Network Name: Berachain Artio
- RPC URL: https://artio.rpc.berachain.com/
- Network ID: 80085
- Currency Symbol: BERA
- Block Explorer URL: https://artio.beratrail.io/
Understanding Berachain Tokens:
Berachain utilizes three tokens:
- BERA: The network token used for transactions (gas fees).
- BGT: A governance token earned through specific actions on authorized dApps.
- HONEY: Berachain’s stablecoin.
Acquiring Testnet BERA Tokens:
- Head over to one of the following faucets to get testnet BERA (these might be temporarily unavailable): 1, 2, 3, 4.
Engaging with dApps:
Diroc Finance:
- Visit Kodiak to swap BERA for HONEY and DIRAC tokens.
- Stake your HONEY tokens using the provided link.
- Stake your DIRAC tokens in the “Staking” tab.
- Add liquidity to the HONEY/DIRAC pool.
- Go back to Bartio and stake the received LP token.
Bera V2 NFT:
- Visit the website, connect your wallet, and complete tasks to mint the NFT.
Public Testnet Bartio (bArtio B2):
- Access the website and request testnet tokens.
- Explore the list of current dApps (with updated links) and participate in their activities.
Unchained Bera NFT:
- Visit the website and complete tasks to mint this NFT for free. It grants access to a special Discord role and might offer future benefits.
BGT Station (Coming Soon):
- After completing the previous steps, you’ll be able to claim BGT tokens (details to follow).
- Once available, delegate your BGT tokens on BGT Station.
Exploring DeFi Features:
BERPS (Leverage Trading):
- Connect your wallet to the BERPS website and navigate to the “Perpetuals” tab.
- Simulate trading different assets using leverage.
- Move to the “Vault” tab, deposit HONEY, and receive $bHONEY tokens.
BEND (Supply/Borrow):
- Connect your wallet to BEND and borrow HONEY tokens.
- To borrow HONEY, supply WBTC/WETH tokens (obtainable by swapping BERA on BEX).
Mint HONEY:
- Visit the HONEY website and connect your wallet.
- Use your stgUSDC tokens (swapped earlier) to mint HONEY tokens.
BEX (Berachain’s DEX):
- Connect your wallet to BEX and swap BERA tokens for HONEY and stgUSDC.
- Add liquidity to a pool of your choice.
Social Activity:
- Galxe Quests:
- Visit Galxe (not Galxy) and connect your wallet or social account.
- Complete tasks to earn points.
